Bruce's first time swimming!

Hello everyone!

On September 5th, Chance took her friend Bruce for a swim. Bruce is 7 months (or maybe even 8 already) and never been swimming. Well, Chance has been swimming since she was 10 or 11 weeks, so she might be a good teacher, or so we thought. And we were right!

We, Joyce and myself, made some video's with Joyce's digital photo camera. I made a small movie of all these shots. I included a song which I have no copyrights on! These all belong to Ilse DeLange and her record company. I do hope they won't mind (well, they did on YouTube but now I put the original file up on FaceBook..) that I share this all with you. The song is called "Follow" and that is exactly what Bruce's doing: following Chance.

Windows Live Writer

I have recently updated my Windows Live Messenger. It came with several extra’s, which I all added (had enough disk space and was curious to what it all would be). I am now using the Windows Live Writer, which allows me to blog with all the extra’s that e-mail updates will not allow (embed pictures and video’s within a post and all) and I do not need to log in to BlogSpot.com every time to write my posts there. I do like the Windows add-on that allows you to add a map inside your post (as I did in my first post through this editor). It really is a WYSIWYG editor, which is very easy. The only thing I was struggling with, was the upload of my images. I kept getting a 403 “forbidden” error message, every time I tried to upload the images. But now, I have changed the settings so that my images will be send to my own ftp host, and that really make this Windows Live Writer work. *yippy*

Work today was shitty, to say the least… I requested yesterday, to be able to go home a bit earlier so I could get my vaccinations. My boss almost got a heart attack, saying it would be too busy for me to leave earlier. So I texted Joyce and she changed my appointment to the last possible date, June 3rd. And you know… Today was so fucking busy that two colleges were allowed to leave early and we did all the stuff that needed to be done in a record time!!! We have 4 cash registers. We had 7 cashiers in the morning, and 5 in the afternoon… I can understand that my boss can’t miss me on a busy day. But calling this busy would be the same as calling a mouse as big as an elephant. And then there were two people send home on a day that I could not be missed… I have to add that my boss normally always has the Thursday off from work, so he did not personally send them home. But at then end of the day, I was and am quite tired. So now, I will have next weeks Monday and Tuesday off (Monday is a national “free” day), and I’ll be in Disney then. On Wednesday, I have to work from 7:30 till 13 and be at the doc at 14:00, to finally receive my vaccinations. And Thursday I have to work all day. On Friday I have an appointment with my work’s health inspection precisely at noon. And then, another week is over. And our vacation is moving in slowly.

Chance is doing a whole lot better since her surgery last Tuesday. She is eating normally again, playing and jumping and her ears are warm and soft… When she came home on Tuesday, or more, when I came home after work, she had such cold ears… But she doesn’t seem really bothered by her 3 small scars/stitches. The only thing is, she is not allowed to swim for a week. Not until the stitches are taken out and the scars healed nicely.

I will ask Joyce to make some pictures of my latest tattoo this evening, and hopefully I will be able to post the pictures as soon as possible. So you can see how it looks like at the moment. :)

A day @ Surfer's Corner

Hello everyone!

Today we spend a lot of hours at the Surfer's Corner in Linden. The weather was LOVELY and delightful and we had a very good time. Only now I notice how much I am burned... Well, maybe it's better to get sunburned/tanned here than getting a sunburn while on vacation. So I will keep it all moisturized and I hope the red, warm, painful parts will stop glowing soon... I did use sun lotion, more than the others did. And still, it wasn't enough... Here a video of Chance playing and some pictures we made this day.

I will go and lay on bed, watch a DVD and put on the airco coz I'm feeling hot hot hot!

Heya everyone out there!

Ah well, where should I start? Chance "decided" it was time for her to become a "big girl" and what a fun it ain't! I am glad that this will be her one and only period, since we decided to "help" her. We don't want to breed with her and this is not comfortable for her and seriously not easy for us... I gave her an old undy from me, and I cut a hole in it for her tail. In it, she got "Always" there since that does work for dogs as well *winks*. But she tries to take off her sexy nickers every time she thinks we're not looking.
And the thing is, we were supposed to go to a friend's place next weekend to celebrate her birthday. Chance was scheduled to have a sleep over at my parents place. But since their Dachshund Brutus is a totally 100% male dog... It's just not do-able. You either have to lock one of them up or watch them 24/7. Yeah, even though Chance is twice the hight of Brutus, I am sure she'll eagerly "bend over" for him. She is even rubbing her @$$ against my leg when I sit on the couch, holding her tail out of the way... Like lovers do in the doggie world. George is accusing us now of buying a lesbian dog...since she only did it to me (with me?) and me only.

So we had to cancel the birthday plans and we were sorry we could not take another dear friend of us along. But luckily we will meet again on March 7th so hopefully we can hand over our prezzies then.

Have a nice day, I am back to watching the sexy nickers (haha I have to think about the old TV-series "Are you being served?" every time I call Chance's undy that). Making sure she'll keep them on. Because, when you want to mob the floor when she does get a chance to prance around without them and you have to clean up after her...she tries to play with it, making the floor even redder. Nope, no fun at all. Though it does keep you busy for sure.
